|The Illinois Department of Employment Security (IDES) is giving notice of intent to award a contract as a sole source to Geographic Solutions, Inc. for continued proprietary Virtual LMI/Workforce Information Database (WIDb) Software V2.5/2.6 software license support and maintenance, including full web hosting, needed to manage and support the Workforce Information Center of the Labor Market Information (LMI) One Source Web site and to be compliant with federal LMI requirements. One of the deliverables for its annual federal Grant is that states produce data in the WIDb format. IDES is required to provide the critical Labor Market Information in WIDb format so users can access the data. |
A hearing is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on March 2, 2016 at the Stratton Office Building, 401 S. Spring St., Room 511, Springfield, IL 62706. Call-in information for those unable to attend in person will be provided upon request. Interested parties wishing to request a hearing or submit comments must do so in writing and submit their request to the Notice contact. If a public hearing is requested, the Purchasing Agency shall present testimony justifying the procurement method. Any interested party may present testimony for or against the awarding of a sole source contract. The purpose of the hearing will be to receive information from the public as to whether award by Sole Source is appropriate and in accordance with the Illinois Procurement Code. Formal rules of evidence will not apply. Hearings may be recorded in order to aid in the production of Minutes. Parties may submit written comments in lieu of attending the hearing. After consideration of the testimony, the Chief Procurement Officer may approve the Purchasing Agency's request to contract by the sole source procurement method.
