|The Illinois Tollway (THA) is giving notice to amend it's contract with Wood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions, Inc. (full Board Approval).|
This professional engineering service contract is providing corridor construction management between IL Rte 53 and the Kennedy Expressway and construction management services for three separate construction contracts associated with roadway, retaining wall and bridge reconstruction and widening on the Jane Addams Memorial Tollway (I-90). This supplement provides for additional staffing hours necessary to allow the construction manager to oversee the final documentation, closeout of the final contract quantities, and all other closeout activities.
This contract for corridor construction management services was advertised on PSB 13-1 on 2/27/13, IPB# 22030187. The contract with AMEC Foster Wheeler Environment & Infrastructure, Inc. / Jacobs Engineering Group, Inc. / R.M. Chin & Associates, Inc., J.V. was awarded by the Tollway Board on 8/29/13 via board resolution 20072 in the amount of $14,800,000.00. On 1/26/16, the Tollway Board approved an amendment via resolution 20935, IPB# 22038068 in the amount of $3,800,000.00 increasing the contract value to $18,600,000.00.
This amendment in the amount of $307,229.56 increases the value of the contract to $18,907,229.56 and is necessary due to the extension of the construction closeout on the corridor (electrical work, punch list and local street work activities) into 2018 (approximately 12 months beyond the negotiated/estimated end of CM service). The Corridor Construction Manager is responsible for coordinating the closeout of all work on the corridor. This amendment provides for additional staffing hours necessary to allow the corridor construction manager to oversee the final documentation and complete all other closeout activities.
